2.5 identify the chemical elements present in carbohydrates, proteins and lipids

Carbohydrates and lipids (fats and oils) are both made up of:


  • Carbon
  • Hydrogen
  • Oxygen

Proteines consist of:
  • Carbon
  • Hydrogen
  • Oxygen
  • Sulphur
  • Phosphorous
  • Nitrogen
