2.56 describe experiments to investigate the role of environmental factors in determining the rate of transpiration from a leafy shoot

Support a plant in a tray filled with a  given amount of water. Place in different conditions and record the time taken for all the water in the way to be taken up by the plant.

A volume potometer is also a good way of determining the rate of transportation which shows how fast it takes for an air bubble to move up a capillary tube the faster it moves up the faster the rate if transportation the different factors can be changed and the time it takes the bubbles to move up the tube can be recorded to determine how the rate of transportation changes with different environmental factors
